I Approach My Work With…

Passion

I'm interested in serving the community and creating safe spaces in which to give the voiceless a voice. I have 6+ years of teaching experience in the fields of English and Theatre, working with children, teenagers, and all ages of adults. I am constantly striving to benefit the larger community by providing both high quality theatrical output and educational opportunities.

Perseverance

I believe in working hard to achieve my goals. I spent my undergraduate and postgraduate careers taking as many classes as I could and getting the most out of the opportunities provided at those universities. I graduated from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa with a GPA of 3.95 and from the University of East Anglia with a GPA equivalent of 4.0 — and I continue to work hard into my career.

Positivity

I believe having a positive outlook on life greatly impacts one's work. Even in hard times (cough cough politics), it is important to maintain an optimistic (and realistic) worldview. I think theatre is a great way to bring communities together and to engender hope—whether through cathartic tragedy or comedic entertainment. Laughter is, after all, the best medicine.
